The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and the Workforce Assistance Program (WAP) provide free, confidential counselling and coaching services, through independent counselling service Converge International to Australia Post employees and eligible family members to support them with work or personal difficulties. Six, free, one-hour sessions are provided to you (per issue you wish to discuss), during each contract year (May-April), with the option of telephone, virtual or in-person appointments. For our managers and people leaders, please call the Manager Assist service for strategies, suggestions, and options to support your team and yourself. Guidance is available to support you manage all people-related issues. You can also use the EAP to enhance or maintain good health and wellbeing.

It’s important to check in with your team regularly and offer assistance if they’re struggling with work or personal circumstances. The following resources will help you to look after the wellbeing of your people and help promote EAP/WAP in your workplace.

Specialist helplines

Australia Post offers access to one session of specialist support (available during business hours only), in addition to your existing Employee Assistance and Workforce Assistance Program services.
